Gary was born and raised in Roseisle, MB. He began his apprenticeship working for a construction company in Winnipeg, MB and obtained his Journeyman Electrical license. In 1976, he started his own company, Boyne Electric Ltd, providing a complete electrical service to St.Claude, MB and the surrounding areas.

Dave was born and raised in St. Claude, MB. Dave started his apprenticeship with Boyne Electric in 1998 and became a journeyman in 2004. Dave purchased part shares of the company from his father Gary in 2009.
